A garden pond can be made in many different shapes and sizes. It creates life and an environment that is perfect for relaxing.
Step 1
In this example, a new garden pond is to be created in the middle of the garden. Start by deciding where the garden pond is to be placed.
You may wish to mark the shape of the garden pond on the ground before you start digging. The edges should be the same height. You may find it useful to use a carpenter's level and a long straight board to ensure this.
Remove stones and roots from the bottom and the sides before laying Fibertex AquaSafe™ in the bottom and up the sides to protect the foil from rupturing. If you use more than one lane o f
AquaSafe™ to your garden pond, the lanes must overlap by approx. 20 cm. Secure the AquaSafe™ with large stones along the edges.
Step 2
Then place the foil on top of the Fibertex AquaSafe™. It is important to follow the foil manufacturer's instructions for finishing your garden pond.
Step 3
Finally, you can adjust the Fibertex AquaSafe™ and the foil so both are lying correctly.
It looks good if you decorate the edge of the garden pond with large stones and plants. Placing a water sculpture in the middle of the garden pond is also often used to create life. Finally, you can add fish to your garden pond.
